The questions we hear on every discovery call, so you can walk into yours already knowing how we work.
A bar has two jobs happening at once: the pour your guest sees, and everything behind it. Ice runs, restocks, pre-batching, glassware, breakdown. A solo bartender can only do one at a time, which means either the line stops or the bar degrades as the night goes on.
We staff a two-person minimum on every event so the bar your guests see at 10pm looks exactly like the one they saw at 5. Every detail. Every pour. Every time.
Yes. Saturdays we staff for cocktail service, so Saturday events book under our Built package. Here is the thing, though: Built does not require a cocktail menu. If you want beer and wine only, we pour beer and wine only, and your alcohol shopping list stays exactly the same. No liquor, no mixers to worry about.
You do, under a Virginia ABC banquet license for your event. We never sell alcohol. What we provide is a purchase plan built for your guest count and menu, so quantities land right and nothing is over-bought. Bar materials such as mixers, juices, and garnishes are sourced by us and billed at cost.
Yes. Private events serving alcohol in Virginia require an ABC banquet license, and as the host, the application is yours to make. It is a straightforward online application through Virginia ABC, and it should be submitted well ahead of your event.
You will not do it alone. We walk every client through the application as part of planning, tell you exactly what to select, and make sure the license is in hand before your date.
Our intimate format, and the one exception to the two-bartender minimum, because the solo pour is the point: Anthony behind the bar, no line, no rush, the bar as part of the gathering rather than separate from it.
The Private Pour is a cocktail and mocktail experience only. Beer and wine service is a volume operation, and running it well takes more than one set of hands.
Every package can include non-alcoholic options, and our custom programs include Mirror mocktails: zero-proof cocktails built with the same fresh ingredients and the same care as their spirited counterparts. Nobody at your event gets handed a soda and an apology.
We are based in Central Virginia and serve the surrounding region, with North Carolina ABC documentation maintained for events across the state line. If you are unsure whether your venue is in range, ask. The answer is usually yes.
Fully. General liability and liquor liability, including an assault and battery amendment, with certificates of insurance naming your venue issued within 24 hours of a request. Every document is on our credentials page, available to download and verify.
Three hours before service begins. Coolers, ice, equipment, and every bottle are set before your first guest walks in, and full breakdown after the last pour is part of every package.
It depends on how your night ends, and there are two ways it can go.
When the bar and the venue close at the same time, the final alcoholic pour comes 30 minutes before close. That buffer is deliberate: it is a safety measure, so your guests have time to finish their drinks and settle before the drive home. Nobody walks from a last pour straight to their car.
When the bar is contracted to close before your venue does, we announce last call 15 minutes before the bar closes, pour through it, and then the bar is done while your night keeps going.
At every level. Our Mixed package includes two classic cocktails chosen from a curated menu, with a third available as an enhancement. And if you want cocktails designed from scratch for your celebration, with recipes, fresh pressed citrus, and syrups built by hand, that is the full One Night Pour experience.
Pricing is built from your guest count, service hours, and package. After your discovery call you receive a full pricing guide for your event, so every number you see is already specific to your night. Your event arrives paid in full, with no day-of administration.
We take a small number of events, so popular dates go early. If you have a date and a venue, that is enough to start the conversation.
Ask it on your discovery call, or send it ahead. You will hear from us personally, the same day.
